Scope and Contents Letter, 1846, of Mary Moffat to her brother`s widow. The letter was written in Kuruman, Africa, where Mary Moffat was stationed with her husband Robert Moffat, missionary. The Moffats` eldest daughter, Mary, had married David Livingstone at Kuruman in 1845, and this letter refers to the birth of David and Mary Livingstone`s son, their first child, six months earlier, and notes the new station Livingstone is establishing.
