Scope and Contents

Poet and writer, Letitia Elizabeth Landon, later Maclean, (1802-1838) was one of the most celebrated female poets and writers of her age. She published poems and novels, as well as being a regular reviewer for the 'Literary Gazette'.

The papers here consist of some letters of Landon to John Murray [II] and John Murray [III], as well as manuscripts for one of her novels, short stories and poetry.
