Biography

Anne Scott (1951-2018) was a Scottish peace campaigner and long-term member of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF). She acted as Branch Secretary of the Scottish Branch of UK WILPF, and sat on the UK WILPF Executive Committee.

She was involved in many aspects of the organisation’s work, which included maintaining WILPF infrastructure, helping to organise demonstrations, events and seminars, as well as representing WILPF at many peace campaigning meetings.

Anne had long history as a street activist for issues of peace and justice, and was involved with other women's rights organisations, including Engender and Abortion Rights Edinburgh.
