Letters of Richard Burdon Haldane to his mother, Mary Elizabeth Haldane., July-December 1902.
Scope and Contents
Richard Burdon Haldane wrote to his mother, Mary Elizabeth Haldane, every day, sometimes twice daily, when he was not with her either at Cloan or in London, and he made a point of keeping her informed about all his activities. In effect this was his diary; these daily letters are generally brief and seldom go into much detail, but they provide an invaluable guide to his day-to-day activities over most of his busy life. He outlived his mother by only three years.
