`De gradibus simplicum` by Isaac (Isḥāq ibn Sulaiman al-Isrā’li), translated by Constantinus Africanus. The author is not named and the title is given as `liber gradum`, incipit `Absinthium calidum vel siccum in 1º gradu` (cf. ‘Catalogue of Incipits of Medieval Scientific Writings in Latin’, column 11). Initials and headings are in red.
At the end in several hands are added recipes, a medical extract from Pseudo-Aristotle, ’Secretum secretorum` (incipit `Alexander cum sit hoc corpus`) (all 14th century, folio 6), and notes on herbs (15th century, folio 6 verso).
