Scope and Contents
Notebooks, 1932-1990, but largely undated, of Tom Weir. Some have diary-style entries and others consist of notes made preparation for articles and scripts for television broadcasts. The notebooks have been arranged thematically where possible, but some consist of rough jottings on a wide range of topics. Topics covered include mountaineering, railways and canals, Scottish travel, geography and geology, Scottish history, bird-watching and notable Scots. Many of the notebooks used are recycled school jotters.
