Letters of William Summers Sutherland, to his family on a visit to Bhutan, along with related papers, 1914-1919.

The letters were written by Sutherland during his second visit to Bhutan in 1919, at which time he accompanied Rev Dr John Anderson Graham to the country. The file contains papers relating to both visits made by Sutherland to Bhutan, including letters of permission and frontier passes to allow entry into the country, and some discuss Bhutanese attitudes towards the admittance of Christian missionaries, 1914-1919 and undated.
