Warrant by William Nisbet of the Dean and his curators to George Lawson: (i) to pay £448 for the country stent imposed upon his lands; and, (ii) to take up two men to be soldiers in the service of the town of Edinburgh, "according as I am stentit for my burrow land thair," and pay them 6 shillings Scots each per day, Edinburgh., April 1640.
