Scope and Contents

William Rose holds that the manuscript is in the hand of James Justice, a monk of Pluscarden (folio 26 verso). The leaves are partly destroyed. The date ‘millesimo quingentesimo qua[dragesimo] quinto’ occurs on folio 17.

Custodial History

The manuscript was wrapped in a fragment of a document (Ch.A.84), on which Rose has written, ‘Got from Captn. Thos. Dunbar of Westfield, anno 1772’.
