Scope and Contents
This volume describes Campbell’s voyage to Bombay, his stay in that city and in Simla. Later notes in Campbell’s hand have been added at the beginning of the volume, dated July 1883, and at the end, loosely inserted, is an introduction to the letters he wrote with a view to their publication. Also loosely inserted are notes he had made before embarking for India on ‘Matters and things common to the far East and far West’ (folio 124).
A copy of Campbell’s ‘On Current British Mythology’ is pasted at the front of the volume.
