Small groups of financial papers and accounts relating to individual factors and cashiers of the Dundas estate; in most cases the material appears to be subsidiary or preparatory to the main estate accounts., 1750-1797.

Scope and Contents

The contents of the volume are as follows:

(i) Accounts between Robert Seton and James Dundas, younger, of Dundas: accounts and vouchers. Accounts appear to have been closed on 24 March 1750, 19 October 1754, 29 October 1755, 26 February 1757 (folio 1).

(ii) Memoranda and accounts concerning the factory of Peter Flockhart, crops 1775-1777 (folio 44).

(iii) Accounts concerning the factory of James Syme, 1778-1781 (folio 80).

(iv) Accounts concerning the factory of George Mathie, 1785-1797 (folio 102).

(v) Account between George Dundas of Dundas (died 1792) and John Dundas, Writer to the Signet: account and vouchers. The account appears to have been closed in 1796 (folio 118).

(vi) Vouchers of account between the tutors of the Dundas children and John Dundas, Writer to the Signet. The account appears to have been closed on 1 August, 1796 (folio 150).
