Scope and Contents

The contents of the volume are as follows:

(i) Process of George Mathie, as factor for Dundas trustees, against Andrew Paul, flesher in Edinburgh, 1798-1801 (folio 1).

(ii) Process of James Robert, builder in South Queensferry, against the proprietors of the water-passage, concerning repairs to the piers at South Queensferry, 1799-1800 (folio 12).

(iii) Writs (mostly copies), 17th and 18th centuries, produced in the process of John Dundas, Writer to the Signet, against Jean, wife of John Laurie, mason in Linlithgow, 1799, 1801 (folio 75).

(iv) Answers to a bill of suspension offered by Robert Wilson, baker in Queensferry, 1803 (folio 129).

(v) Process of Dundas trustees against Thomas Roberts, gardener and fisher in Queensferry, 1806-1812 (folio 134).

(vi) Process of Dundas trustees against William Maxwell Morison, advocate, 1807-1812 (with some associated papers of earlier date) (folio 162).
