The contents of the notebook are as follows:

(i) descriptions of the `Religious Houses andc of Edinburgh` extracted from ‘History of Edinburgh’, pages 242-257, 263, 267-271, 561-563 (folio 1);

(ii) an account of some of the cartularies and other registers of Scottish religious houses copied from ‘The Lives and Characters of the most Eminent Writers of the Scots Nation’, volume 1, pages 466-475 (folio 33);

(iii) a note of some members of the family of Graeme (folio 44).

Most of (i) and parts of (ii) appear to have been written in another hand.
