Scope and Contents
Letters, 1827-1835, of John Barrow to John Murray II, with a few letters to John Murray III. The letters concern his own publications, including his account of the mutiny on “HMS Bounty”, and his biography of Peter the Great. He comments on books, articles and manuscripts by other authors on subjects of interest to him; he also describes the progress of writings by his son John. The letters are arranged in chronological order.
