Letters, 1812-1839 and uncertain dates, of William Bowles to John Murray II and John Murray III, with related letters and papers. They concern various works of Bowles published by the Murrays, including poetry, and “Two letters to the Right Honourable Lord Byron”, with discussion of his response to Byron’s views; sermons, including the sermon series on the cartoons of Raphael; and monographs including “The parochial history of Bremhill” and “The life of Thomas Ken”. The letters are arranged in chronological order.
