Scope and Contents

Letters of Maria Callcott to John Murray II and John Murray III, with related papers. The letters concern mostly the publication of her travel writings by Murray, but include letters in her role as reader for the firm. The letters up to February 20th 1827, the date of her second marriage, are signed Maria Graham. The letters are arranged chronologically. Folios 15-16 are undated but must precede February 20th 1827:
