Letters of Francis Freeling (continued from MS.40423).

The letters are mainly to John Murray II, with one to John Murray III (folios 22-23). They reflect the relations that existed between Freeling and John Murray II, and concern their shared interests in literature and the book trade. They provide some insight into the relationship between bookseller and client.

The letters are arranged chronologically.

place unknown: folios 36-37.

Copy, ?1834, of an extract of a letter, ?18 September 1834, of ?Thomas Dibdin to Francis Freeling. The copy appears to have been made by Mary (?Martha) Freeling (cf folios 55-56), with note by Francis Freeling. Folio 38.
