Letters, 1876-1877, of Benjamin Harrison to John Murray III. The letters concern Harrison’s involvement in preparing for publication “Notes on the churches of Kent” (1877), by Stephen Glynne. Folios 4-10.

Letter, 28 September 1893, of David Harrison to Hallam Murray. The letter concerns Harrison’s involvement in the 1893 revision of “A handbook for travellers in Cornwall”. Folios 11-12.

Letter, 18 June 1869, of E. Harrison, Belleville, Ontario, to John Murray III, concerning a work by “Dr Canniff” on Canadian history which Harrison was seeking to have published in England. Folios 13-14.
Harrison, Frederic.
Letters, 1888-1907, of Frederic Harrison to John Murray III and John Murray IV. The letters for 1888-1889 concern the publication of “International law. A series of lectures delivered before the University of Cambridge 1887” (1888), by Henry Maine, passed through the press by Frederic Harrison and Frederick Pollock. The majority of the other letters concern Harrison’s advice and suggestions over the publication of “The autobiographies of Edward Gibbon” (1896), edited by John Murray IV.

Harrison, I. Henry.
Letter, 6 December 1862, of I. Henry Harrison to John Murray III concerning an unfinished work on poetry by the late “Mr Shaw”. Harrison writes on behalf of Shaw’s wife about the condition of the work, and his wish that it will still be published.

Harrison, John.
Letters, 1834-1835, 1840 of John Harrison to John Murray II. The letters for 1834-1835 concern Harrison’s “Memoirs of a trait in the character of George III” (London: W. Edwards, 1835). The letters for 1840 concern his wish to publish his allegorical poem “The cavern of suspicion” which seems not to have been published. [Note. Bloomsbury Auctions’ sale 332, 10 August 1998, included what was described as an “?autograph manuscript” of Harrison’s “Cavern of suspicion”.] Folios 110-123.
