Scope and Contents

This manuscript mainly includes letters, 1826-1862 and uncertain dates, of James Mangles to John Murray II and John Murray III. The letters include discussion of his work co-written with Charles Irby, “Travels in Egypt and Nubia, Syria and the Holy Land”.

All the letters are arranged alphabetically by correspondent and by date under each name.
