Letters, 1836-1858, of Henry Reeve to John Murray III, John Murray II, and one letter, 1872, of Christina Reeve probably to John Murray III, with related letters. They concern his writing, including his translation of de Tocqueville, “On the state of society in France before the Revolution of 1789”, and his articles for the "Quarterly Review". There is discussion of literary matters, with mention of the "Edinburgh Review", which he edited. The letters are arranged alphabetically by correspondent, then by date under both names.
