Scope and Contents

Letters, 1820-1866 and uncertain dates, of Alfred Turner to John Murray II and John Murray, with a few to Robert Cooke. They concern his role as attorney for the Murray firm, dealing with pirated editions or illegal copying of Murray works, but also showing the family friendship which existed. The letters are arranged in chronological order.
