Scope and Contents
The letters are to John Murray IV and Hallam Murray. They concern mostly the revised “Handbook for travellers in Constantinople, Brûsa and the Troad” (1893), and the preparation and publication of the “Handbook for travellers in Asia Minor, Transcaucasia, Persia, etc.” (1895), both edited by Charles Wilson.
The letters are arranged chronologically.

[Note 1.] Folios 13-14. Letter, 8 October 1894, of Susanna Green, English High School for Girls, Constantinople, to Charles Wilson. The letter concerns the “Handbook for travellers in Constantinople, Brûsa and the Troad” (1893).
[Note 2.] Folio 43. Letter, [1895, before 8 June], of David Hogarth to either John Murray IV or Hallam Murray. The letter had been forwarded to Charles Wilson and it was returned by him as an enclosure to his letter to either John Murray IV or Hallam Murray, 8 June 1895 (folio 42).
[Note 3.] Folios 50-51. Letter, 27 October 1895, of George H. Pope to John Murray IV concerning errors in the “Handbook for travellers in Asia Minor, Transcaucasia, Persia, etc.” (1895). The letter had been forwarded to Charles Wilson and it was returned by him as an enclosure to his letter to John Murray IV, 1 November 1895 (folios 48-49).
[Note 4.] Folios 62-63. Letter, 15 June 1897, of Henry Cumberbatch to Charles Wilson. The letter was forwarded as an enclosure to Wilson’s letter to ?Hallam Murray, 11 August 1897 (folios 60-61).
