    The papers consist of a miscellany of 18th-century papers, some of which relate to Lady Mary Campbell, sister of the 19th Earl of Crawford (folios 1-24), followed by a possibly incomplete collection of letters and papers (including several copies of 18th-century documents) in the unsuccessful claim by Colonel William Claude Campbell to the Earldom of Crawford, 1808-1834, and undated (folios 25-285).
