  • Scope and Contents

Bound with printed copies of the Spanish treaties of 1604 and 1630 (London, 1605, 1630). Included are copies of the correspondence and orders of Don John of Austria, as Governor of the Spanish Netherlands, relating to English (Royalist) shipping, etc., 1656-1659, undated, (passim), and of secret articles in treaties, 1604, 1656 (pages 94, 57-63) in English, Spanish and French. According to a pencilled note in a modern hand, the notes are of one of the Earls of Bristol, but some at least appear to have been written by Sir Henry de Vic, British Resident at Brussels (see page 159).
