Scope and Contents
The contents are as follows:
(i) 'Private Letter Book. Vol. I', chiefly written from the Horse Guards and the Crimea, 1850-1855, followed by an index (folio 1);
(ii) 'Crimean Correspondence. Letter Book 5', 1854-1856, preceded by an index (folio 97);
(iii) 'Private Letter Book', Royal Hospital, Dublin, 1860-1865 (folio 167);
The subjects of the letters are the same as in MSS.1847-1854.
