The contents are as follows:

(i) 'Institution of the Colledge of Justice', describing the foundation of the College, its procedure and personnel (page i), preceded by an index (folio ii); it appears to have been written after 1613;

(ii) Hope's ‘Minor practicks’ (page 45), preceded by an index (page 41);

(iii) 'Practiques observed befor The Lords of Sessione Collected alphabeticallie be (?)rj from 1627 to 1637' (page 141), preceded by an index (page 133);

(iv) Part of Hope's ‘Major practicks’ (page 389), from Tit. 13 of book V, 'Of commissaries' to Tit. 37 of book VI 'Of arreistment'; a few chapters within this sequence are omitted;

(v) Three poems in a seventeenth-century hand: 'I hate a lazy lawland loun, I love a lusty Highland man'; 'Blist in eye, & possesst of her charms'; and 'Hail to ye myrtle shades, all hail to ye nymphs of ye field' (page 485);

(vi) Styles (page 489);

(vii) 'The Practick of diverse Interloquutors and caussis gevin and pronuncit In the Innerhous In presentia dominorum'; decisions, February-June 1629 (page 537).
