Bibliography

All the ballads not published have been used by Francis J Child, except ‘Lord Thomas and Fair Elenor’ (page 35), which he mentions as worthless (volume iv, page 471), and the modern song ‘Nancy and Jamie’ (page 31). This volume contains three chapbooks of Young Biechen and Susie Pye (pages 113-156).
