Notebook of Edward Ellice (died 1880) containing copies in his own hand of notes of various tours., 1829-1841.
Scope and Contents
The notebook contains copies of notes of the following:
(i) Tour in France, 1831, recorded in MS.15144, folios 9-10 (folio 1);
(ii) Tour to Chamonix, 1829, recorded in MS.15144, folios 1-8 (folio 6);
(iii) Journey to St Petersburg and subsequent travels and return to London through Europe 1832, recorded in MS.15143: Notebook of Edward Ellice (died 1880) containing notes of a journey to St Petersburg (folio 24);
(iv) Tour through France to Italy, 1841, the original of which has not been found (folio 87).
A leaf is torn out between folios 2 and 3.
