The contents are as follows: (i) Accounts, 1684-1721, of Dr Patrick Chalmers of Aberdeen, later Professor of Medicine at Marischal College, with his patients (folio1); (ii) Accounts, 1724-1740, of Dr George Chalmers of Aberdeen with his brother, William, merchant in Gibraltar, later 1st of Auldbar (folio 42 verso). (iii) Domestic, estate and miscellaneous accounts of Dr Patrick Chalmers (folios 45, 53, 54, 56, 57, 67, 69, 76-77, 78-82); (iv) Lists of births of children of Dr Patrick Chalmers and Dr George Chalmers (folio 83).
