The title of the book borrowed is followed by the borrower's signature. On return of the book the entry was cancelled either by deletion, or by the addition of "Returned" or the date of return.

At folio 1 verso is a note, 1808, of the trustees of the library recording new regulations to discourage borrowers from maltreating the books.

A number of leaves are torn out after folio 6 and two leaves formerly loosely enclosed (folios 90-100 inverted) are tipped in after folio 98 inverted.
