"My Patient's recollections", an account in an unidentified twentieth-century hand of the early life, until about 1849, of Mary E Haldane., [1917, or before.]
Scope and Contents
Although Mary Haldane is consistently referred to as ‘My patient’ it seems probable that much of the information, if not the narrative came from herself, for it breaks off in mid-sentence at folio 102 verso and ends on a half-sheet of paper found loosely enclosed and since tipped in at the end (folio 103). There are lengthy additions in her hand, dated 1917, at folio 4 verso, 12 verso, 53 verso, 54 verso, and many small pencil corrections throughout, also in her hand.
The account of her later life, from 1850 until about 1860, is in MS.20150.
