Papers relating to the military career of James Seton., 1761-1773.
Scope and Contents
After reputedly escaping, wounded, from Culloden, James Seton saw military service as an ensign in the Netherlands being present at the siege of Bergen-op-Zoom. On his return to Britain he served with the 105th Foot and later in Ireland as a Lieutenant with the 54th Foot.
