Much of this material was used by Lord Hailes in his ‘Memorials and letters relating to the history of Great Britain in the reigns of James I and Charles I’ (Glasgow, 1766), 2 volumes. Parts of MSS.25385-25386 were used in ‘The private corrrespondence of Dr Francis Atterbury, Bishop of Rochester, and his friends, in 1725, never before published’ (Edinburgh, 1768).
