Instructions, 1688, with the impressed seal of King James VII, King of Scotland, superscribed by him and signed by the Earl of Melfort, to Lieutenant-General the Honourable James Douglas, Master of the Ordnance in Scotland, containing a reference to John Slezer, Lieutenant of Artillery (folio 92);
Letter, 1693, and abbreviat of Memorial, undated, of Slezer, relating to the costs of printing his 'Theatrum Scotiae' and the money due by the nation to him as captain in the Artillery and for the 'Theatrum Scotiae' (folios 94-97).
