Leaves have been cut out before folios 1, 3, 4, 6, 7 (which has been deeply cut in the gutter and is in consequence rather loose), 15 and 20; and most of folios 18 and 19 have been cut out.

The music book was apparently owned by a Mr Marshall in 1830 (folio i).
