Scope and Contents

The contents are as follows. (i) ‘Ane account of the names of the ministers & parishes since the Revolution 1689 distinguishing the Episcopalian from the Presbyterian’. (ii) A transcript of ‘Staggering state of Scotch statesmen’ by John Scott of Scotstarvet. (iii) The Earl of Rothes’ “True relations” a transcript, of about 1700, from MS.34.5.7. This is the manuscript used in the printed edition. (iv) ‘The Reformation of Religion in Scotland, &ce written be that faithful servant and witnes of Christ M. John Forbes’. Ex authoris autographs.
