The topics covered in this series of interviews focus primarily on the development of Ian Rankin’s writing career, writing influences, publications/works, and personal experiences. Many interviews also cover additional topics. The interviews are from a variety of serial publications from various countries. The items are press cuttings, full periodicals, and photocopies.

The interviews are arranged chronologically by date of publication, and thereafter alphabetically by title of periodical.
