Copy tack by William Carnecors of Colmislie in favour of Walter Dennone in Wester Rariche of one-half of the lands of Wester Rariche in the diocese of Ros and sheriffdom of Inverness, for the duration of the said Walter’s lifetime and to his heirs so long as the lands pertain to the granter and his heirs; dated at Sandveik., 7 November 1515.
Scope and Contents
Contains 71 writs and three detached seals, with Cairncross Charters of the Regality of Melrose (listed in "Selections from the Regality of Melrose", volume III, (1917), pp 373-382).
Please note that the Rutherford name is represented variously throughout the charters, including Ruderfurde, Ruthirfurde, and Rutherfurde.
This collection consists of material transferred from the Scottish Record Office to the National Library, and is supplementary to the main body of Rutherfurd of Edgerston Papers (Acc.7676) held by the National Library.
