Biographical / Historical

Michael Moncrieff Stuart was educated at Sedbergh School and Oxford and Cambridge. He joined the Indian Civil Service in 1927 and served as District Magistrate in various areas of India. He spent the war years in Chittagong as District Magistrate and then Commissioner and stayed on in the Pakistan service after partition until 1950.
