Custodial History

On the front pastedown is an armorial bookplate (late 18th century), of `Henry Adams`, possibly the brother of Reverend William Adams, Doctor of Divinity (see under Hyett of Painswick in ‘Burke`s Landed Gentry’).

Presented, 1925, by the Faculty of Advocates to the nation on the foundation of the National Library of Scotland.
