The Bern manuscript was in 1802 lent by the Bürgerbibliothek Bern to Chalmers; in 1814 it was presented to the British Government. It is now in the Scottish Record Office, PA5/1. See ‘Acts of the Parliament of Scotland’, i, pages iii-iv.
