The volumes were lot 460 in Deuchar`s sale, 14 April 1846, and are annotated `Boone 1849’. They were formerly in the library of Sir Thomas Phillipps, and were bought by the Advocates’ Library at Sotheby’s, June 1893, lot 683.

Presented, 1925, by the Faculty of Advocates to the nation on the foundation of the National Library of Scotland.
