The collection was presented to the Advocates’ Library in 1910 by Miss M A G Murray Gartshore of Ravelston.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Presented, 1925, by the Faculty of Advocates to the nation on the foundation of the National Library of Scotland.

Some papers, separated from the collection between 1859 and 1877, are now at the Public Record Office, classed under W.80.
