Typescript of Donald Fraser's 'Memoirs of an Unsuccessful Revolutionary', with biographical notes and a chronological index.

 Collection
Identifier: Acc.13176

Scope and Contents

Typescript memoirs of Donald Fraser (1904-1956), Scottish politician and a leading member of the Common Wealth Party. The memoris are incomplete as a result of Fraser`s premature death in 1956. They chart his early life, professional activities and his involvement in inter-war politics, particularly the ILP and the Common Wealth Party that had been founded by the Liberal MP Sir Richard Acland in 1942 to contest by-elections against reactionary candidates. The manuscript biographical notes and chronological index were compiled by his son Neil Fraser.
