Scottish Screen was a Non Departmental Public Body Formed 1997 as an amalgamation of Scottish Film Council, Scottish Film Production Fund, Scottish Broadcast Film Training and Scottish Screen Locations.

Remit to build film industry and infrastructure in Scotland, promote Scotland as a film location, promote Scottish film culture and preserve Scottish film heritage.

Scottish Film Production Fund was established jointly by Scottish Film Council and Scottish Arts Council in 1982 and based at Scottish Film Council. Merged with other bodies in 1997 as part of the new government body Scottish Screen.
