Donald Alexander, graduated from Cambridge in Classics and languages in 1935 1936 Joined Strand Films. 1938 joined Film Centre and took various free lance work for Films of Scotland 1938, and for BBC and Shell Films. 1940 joined Paul Rotha Productions as film director. 1944 founder member and chairman of Documentary Technicians Alliance (DATA) unitl 1950. 1945 Married Budge Cooper 1951 - becomes Films Adviser to National Coal Board until 1963 1969 Director of Audio Visual Aids, Dundee University Joined Films of Scotland Committee 1979 Retired.
