Letters of and to Andrew Scott and Company, Woollen Merchants, Edinburgh.
Scope and Contents
The concentration of letters from merchants in Aberdeen and Dundee suggests most of Andrew Scott and Company's business was conducted in the north east of Scotland, however, letters from Stroud and Manchester indicate some English trade. Also included are a number of family and personal letters particularly of Andrew Scott and of his nephew Archibald Scott, Solicitor in Edinburgh.
