Scope and Contents
The contents are as follows:
(i) A copy of ‘Historie of the estate of the Kirk of Scotland’ by John Row, with an addition after 1637 (beginning at page 284). At the end, in what appears to be a transcript of Mr Row’s own memorandum, it is noted that the text was copied at Aberdeen, October 2 1650;
(ii) Miscellaneous papers concerning church affairs, duplicating some of those found in Adv.MS.34.5.13;
(iii) ‘A supplement of the historie of the Kirk of Scotland…: or ane handful of goates haire for the furthering of the building of the tabernacle… written by Mr John Row Minister at Aberdeen’;
(iv) A list of scruples against submitting to the government now settled by Bishops.
The description of the manuscript in the folio catalogue (F.R.186) includes the reference: W.6.30.
