Scope and Contents
The contents are as follows: (i) Laws of the Society. (Folio 1.) (ii) List of meetings for each session, with the name of the speaker and the title of his 'discourse', November 1764–January 1771 (folio 3 verso). Occasionally the elections of new members or the names of absentees are recorded. 'There is a gap in the Records for the next 5 years, and the only information we have of their Transactions during the years 1771 and 1773 is from a loose jotting, of which the following is a copy' (folio 13 verso). (iii) List of the essays with the names of the authors, 1776-1779. (Folio 14 verso.)
