Papers contain:

Copy of marriage contract, 1669, between Issobell [sic] Paterson and Robert Bruce. cover note "1669 given me by Alice[?] Trotter" - possibly in the hand of Louisa Kathleen Haldane (née Trotter).

Copy of a tack, 1750, between Alexander Young and Mrs Jean Stewart for a property on Potterrow.

Royal Warrant, 1784, authorising Henry Dundas, as Treasurer of the Navy, to pursue orders of the Navy Board in sending Money to distant parts of Great Britain for the payment of Yards and other expenses relating to the Navy. Co-signed by William Pitt, James Graham, Marquess of Graham, and Edward James Eliot.

Printed statement, 1800, of the Navy Pay Office testifying to the work of Henry Dundas in ensuring the protection of property for sailors and their families.

List of assets and legacies, 1835-1836, left to various members of the Trotter family and to the extended household.
